Annotation: The paper computes the kinematic structure of the water flow - the vertical and transverse velocity distribution and the secondary (circulation) current - at a bend section of the Karshi Main Canal, and analyses its relation to channel deformation. Based on the bed shear-stress distribution, the zones of bank erosion and sediment deposition are identified. The results are presented as graphs, a cross-section diagram and tables. The increase of velocity and shear stress at the outer bank and sediment accumulation at the inner bank are confirmed by quantitative indicators.
