Annotation: 本研究は、日本語における否定表現の多面的特徴を明らかにすることを目的とする。日本語の否定は、単なる文法的形式にとどまらず、話者の認識、期待、そして談話の流れと密接に関係する複雑な言語現象である。本研究では、記述的分析、意味分析、談話分析の手法を用いて、否定の構造と機能を総合的に検討した。特に、文法的否定（ない・ぬ・ず）、語彙的否定（不・無・非・未）、および否定応答詞（いいえ・いや）に注目し、それぞれの役割を分析した。その結果、日本語の否定は認知的・語用論的性質を持ち、多層的な構造を形成していることが明らかとなった。また、否定は単なる否認ではなく、評価や判断を表現する重要な手段であることが示された。 This study aims to clarify the multifaceted nature of negation in the Japanese language. Negation in Japanese is not merely a grammatical form but a complex linguistic phenomenon closely related to the speaker’s cognition, expectations, and discourse context. The research employs descriptive, semantic, and discourse analysis to examine the structure and functions of negation. Special attention is given to grammatical negation forms (nai, nu, zu), lexical negation through prefixes (fu-, mu-, hi-, mi-), and negative response expressions such as iie and iya. The findings reveal that negation in Japanese possesses cognitive and pragmatic characteristics and forms a multilayered system. Furthermore, negation functions not only as denial but also as a means of expressing evaluation and judgment in communication.
