Annotation: This article examines A.Z. Validi Togan's contribution to the study of the personality and legacy of Zakhir al-Din Muhammad Babur. His early works, such as "Turkiston Maktublari," are analyzed, where the scholar conducts a source study analysis of the "Babur-name," comparing it with other memoirs. He emphasizes Babur's role as a military leader, poet, and founder of an empire, as well as his contribution to the Turkic literary language. The author emphasizes Validi Togan's methodology, which combines biographical, textual, and comparative approaches, and calls for a new edition of the "Babur-name" for the Turkic peoples.
