Annotation: The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the contemporary foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey, its formation, and its current strategic directions. It consistently examines the interconnection between Turkey’s geopolitical location, historical experience, and domestic political processes, which have significantly shaped its foreign policy behavior. Particular attention is paid to the transformations observed during the rule of the Justice and Development Party (ATP), including the adoption of a multi-directional diplomatic approach, pragmatic policy-making, and the role of neo-Ottomanism in political practice. The article highlights Turkey’s efforts to expand its regional influence not only through its traditional cooperation with Western countries but also through an active foreign policy in the Middle East, the Caucasus, and other regions. Additionally, it addresses the challenges emerging within the framework of contemporary foreign policy, as well as issues related to the balance of interests and strategic decision-making.
