Annotation: Perinatal psychology studies the psychological state of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. During these stages, women’s psycho-emotional condition is influenced by stress, hormonal changes, and socio-cultural factors. Research shows that stress and negative emotions before childbirth complicate preparation and increase the risk of postpartum depression and psychopathological disorders. Perinatal psychology, employing a biopsychosocial approach, enhances psychological support and medical monitoring for women, facilitating early detection and prevention of psycho-emotional disorders.
