Annotation: This article analyzes the evolution of security and defense cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). While Turkic cooperation initially focused on economic and cultural areas, recent years have witnessed a growing emphasis on military, intelligence, and defense-industrial collaboration. Türkiye’s bilateral engagements, increasing inter-member military coordination, and the gradual institutionalization of security mechanisms within the OTS are reshaping the regional security landscape. The article examines the drivers, formats, and implications of this transformation and assesses the OTS’s emerging role in addressing regional security gaps in Central Asia and the Caucasus.
