Annotation: This article analyzes the role of innovative approaches and information and communication technologies (ICT) in the educational process, their didactic potential, and the methodological foundations of their application in the primary education system. Furthermore, teachers' digital competence, the psychological and cognitive characteristics of students, and existing problems in the use of ICT in education are highlighted from a scientific perspective. As a result of the research, it is substantiated that the effective use of ICT depends not only on technological tools but also on their application based on a sound didactic framework.
