Annotation: The article analyzes modern methods of assessing students’ communicative competence in higher education institutions. The author highlights the pedagogical potential of innovative assessment methods in foreign language teaching based on interdisciplinary integration. Furthermore, the significance of self-assessment, peer assessment, and task-based assessment technologies in improving the effectiveness of the educational process is scientifically substantiated.
