Annotation: This article analyzes the historical, political, and ideological aspects of the attitude towards Islam in the Central Asian region during the Soviet era. The religious policy pursued by the Soviet state, in particular, the policy of controlling Islam, restricting religious values, and shaping social consciousness through atheistic propaganda, is studied on a scientific basis.
