Annotation: This article analyzes the formation of the Saudi Arabian state, including the stages of the First, Second, and Third Saudi States, and reveals the role of the Saud dynasty and the Wahhabi movement in ensuring the legitimacy of the state. It also examines the influence of external powers such as the Ottoman Empire and Great Britain on the formation of the Saudi state. In addition, this article examines the differences between the Saudi Arabian state model and other countries in the Middle East, and sheds light on the mechanisms of stability of a political system based on the combination of religious legitimacy and absolute monarchy.
