Annotation: The article examines contemporary international legal instruments regulating the protection of children’s rights in the digital environment and analyzes the main trends in the development of international standards in the context of digitalization. Particular attention is paid to the classification of international legal documents according to their scope, geographical coverage, and legal force. The study explores universal and regional international treaties, soft law instruments, and international technical standards aimed at ensuring child safety in the digital space. The article analyzes modern challenges related to cyberbullying, digital exploitation of children, violations of personal data privacy, and other online threats. It further highlights key trends in the development of international legal protection of children in the digital era, including the transition to preventive regulatory approaches, the promotion of digital inclusion, the strengthening of responsibilities of digital platforms, and the implementation of the child rights by design concept. The article concludes that a comprehensive system of international standards is gradually emerging, focused on ensuring children’s safety, participation, and best interests in the digital environment.
