Annotation: This article examines phytonym proverbs in English and Uzbek languages. Proverbs are an important part of cultural heritage and reflect the worldview, traditions, and life experience of a nation. Special attention is given to phytonyms—plant names used in proverbs—and their metaphorical meanings. The study analyzes examples of phytonym proverbs in both languages and identifies their similarities and differences. The results show that many proverbs share universal meanings related to human behavior, morality, and social relationships, while differences arise from cultural and environmental factors.
