Annotation: This article examines the banking and financial system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, its formation stages, and current reform directions. Since gaining independence, Uzbekistan has carried out large-scale measures aimed at modernizing the financial system, strengthening the banking sector, and implementing international management standards. The paper analyzes the role of the Central Bank in ensuring the stability of the national currency, controlling inflation, and improving monetary policy. It also explores the role of commercial banks in the economy, their credit policies, and the development of digital finance and payment systems. The study results help identify modern trends in Uzbekistan’s financial system and provide recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of the banking sector and the stability of the national economy.
