Annotation: This article analyzes Uzbekistan's transition to a green economy, its current state, development dynamics, and prospects. Since 2022, comprehensive reforms have been implemented to develop green economy, expand renewable energy use, improve energy efficiency, and protect the environment. The 2024 indicators are detailed: green energy volume reached 13 billion kWh, its share reached 15-18%, solar and wind power plants with total capacity of 2.4-3.5 gigawatts were launched, greenhouse gas emissions reduced by 1.89 million tons. By 2030, targets include increasing renewable energy capacity to 27 gigawatts, their share to 40-54%, and reducing greenhouse gases by 35%. The article analyzes green financing mechanisms, international investments (World Bank, USA, China, Gulf countries), public-private partnership projects, and green bonds. It also addresses main challenges in the transition — high initial costs, technological constraints, weak grid infrastructure, and shortage of qualified personnel.
