Annotation: This article examines the necessity of developing a medical thesaurus for the Uzbek National Corpus from both scientific and practical perspectives. The inconsistency of medical terminology, its heterogeneous origins, and semantic discrepancies highlight the need for a unified terminological standard. The study discusses how a medical thesaurus can enhance terminological clarity in medical information systems, artificial intelligence applications, automatic text processing, medical translation, and educational processes. The research emphasizes an important interdisciplinary issue at the intersection of medicine, linguistics, and information technology.
