Author: Avezov, Muzaffar Ibragimovich

Annotation: This article examines historical, religious, philosophical, and social approaches to disability step by step. Initially, disability was viewed as a punishment, but later, influenced by religion and Greek philosophy, anthropocentrism became dominant. During the Renaissance and Industrial Revolution, disabled individuals were perceived as unfit for labor. From the 20th century onward, ecological and feminist perspectives began to recognize disability as a social issue. In the 21st century, disability has been globally acknowledged from a human rights perspective and legally protected. The article explores the historical and philosophical roots of this transformation.

Keywords: disability, human, philosophy, Renaissance, Industrial Revolution, legal protection, inclusion, feminist approach, ecological approach, human rights, social issue, historical analysis.
