Annotation: The article analyzes the problem of the formation and transformation of national identity in the countries of the Arab Maghreb (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco) under conditions of globalization. It examines the specificity of the Maghreb countries' identity as a complex interweaving of Arab, Berber, and Mediterranean cultural traditions. Particular attention is paid to state policy in the sphere of identity construction, including educational, linguistic, symbolic, and cultural policies. The measures undertaken by the countries of the region to preserve cultural uniqueness and position themselves on the international arena are analyzed.
