Annotation: This article is dedicated to the scientific and creative legacy of Shoislom Mahmudovich Shomuhammedov - a prominent figure in Uzbek literary studies of the 20th and 21st centuries, an orientalist, Iranologist, and professor - with particular focus on his work Khazinalar Jilosi (“The Brilliance of Treasures”, 1981). The article outlines the scholar’s biography, academic and pedagogical career, and his contributions to translation studies and literary criticism. The structural composition of the work is examined, along with the analytical characteristics of essays devoted to the poetry of Omar Khayyam, Saadi Shirazi, and Abdurakhman Jami. Special emphasis is placed on Professor Shomuhammedov’s comparative-analytical method, his role in introducing Uzbek readers to classical Persian literature, and his mastery as a translator.
