Annotation: This article analyzes the role of the ideas of knowledge and enlightenment in the activities of Mahmudhoja Behbudiy. It examines Behbudiy’s contribution to the Jadid movement and his views advocating public literacy, modern education, and national awakening. The article also highlights the significance of his pedagogical, journalistic, and literary heritage in educating the younger generation. Particular attention is paid to the spiritual and educational relevance of Behbudiy’s legacy in the present day.
