Annotation: This article analyzes the formation, stages of development, and socio-cultural significance of traditional pottery schools in Uzbekistan based on anthropological and ethnological approaches. The study reveals the scientific potential of the economic-cultural types concept, the genealogical (master–apprentice and dynastic) approach, and the Oral History method in examining the phenomenon of pottery. The article also analyzes, through practical examples, the territorial and personal classifications of pottery schools, the role of master–apprentice traditions in the continuity of the craft, and the mechanisms of transmitting professional knowledge and skills from generation to generation.
