Annotation: This article discusses one of the important issues in the science of Arabic rhetoric - types of message and methods of its delivery. Basically, it analyzes the form in which the message should be expressed depending on the purpose of the speaker and the state of the addressee. Three different states of the addressee in delivering the message - unaware, doubtful and denying - are distinguished, and the appropriate speech style for each is explained through examples. Also, the use of emphasis - letters, accents, repetition, oaths and grammatical devices is explained based on verses of the Quran and Arabic examples. The article argues that the effectiveness and clarity of speech are closely related to the correct assessment of the state of the addressee.
