Annotation: This text analyzes the stages of formation of the social state concept, its historical and philosophical foundations, and its role in modern development. The author explores ideas of a just society ranging from ancient thinkers like Plato and Aristotle to Abu Nasr Al-Farabi’s conception of the "Virtuous City" and Amir Temur’s governance based on social justice. The article emphasizes that a social state is a supreme structure guaranteeing human dignity, social protection, and general welfare, highlighting its significance in the ongoing reforms of modern Uzbekistan.
