Annotation: This article provides a comprehensive analysis of English, Spanish, and Uzbek within the framework of global language policy, examining their functional, linguocultural, and geopolitical characteristics. The study explores the concept of de facto language status and investigates the role of language as an instrument of both soft power and hard power in contemporary global dynamics. A comparative perspective is applied to analyze the dominance of English as a global lingua franca, the cultural expansion model of Spanish, and the role of Uzbek in shaping and reinforcing national identity. The research draws upon contemporary linguistic and political theories to examine the interrelationship between language and power, global communication systems, and emerging multilingual trends. Furthermore, the study identifies strategic directions for the development of the Uzbek language based on international experiences of English and Spanish. The findings contribute to the advancement of language policy, cultural diplomacy, and the enhancement of the global competitiveness of national languages within the international communicative space.
