Annotation: This article provides a comprehensive analysis of Abu Nasr Muhammad al-Farabi’s work The Virtuous City. The article examines the philosophical foundations of al-Farabi’s doctrine, his views on the structure of the ideal state, the requirements placed upon the ruler (the First Chief), the stratification of citizens, and matters of moral perfection. This work, which holds an important place in the history of Eastern philosophy, is evaluated as a continuation of Aristotle’s and Plato‘s political philosophy and is studied from the perspective of a synthesis between Islamic philosophy and ancient Greek thought.
