Annotation: The article analyzes the complex interaction between religion and language. Religion adapts to society, changing its content, but sometimes hinders progress. Language serves as the primary tool for expressing, spreading, and locally adapting religious beliefs. It examines the semantic, pragmatic, and functional aspects of religious terminology, its place in the linguistic worldview, as well as synchronic and diachronic changes in Islamic vocabulary.
