Annotation: This article comprehensively examines the image of the mother in fiction, its essence and its role in the literature of different nations. The image of the mother is considered sacred and precious for all humanity, symbolizing kindness, love, devotion and selflessness. The article analyzes how the image of the mother is portrayed in literary works and explores the moral and spiritual functions assigned ti it by writers. Furthermore, it demonstrates, through examples, how the most delicate human emotions, inner experiences and life values are expressed through the image of the mother.
