Annotation: This article analyzes the institutional, scientific-organizational, and production development of viticulture and winemaking in the Uzbek SSR between 1940 and 1991 based on historical sources, legal documents, and scholarly literature. It examines the challenges of the Second World War, the post-war recovery of the sector, the establishment of research institutions, and the period of intensive expansion during the 1970s–1980s. The study also assesses the impact of Soviet state agricultural policy on the development of viticulture and winemaking.
