Annotation: This article analyzes the socio-psychological features of gender stereotypes affecting child upbringing in Uzbek families. The study examines the impact of contradictions between traditional views and gender equality principles on personality formation. Stereotypical approaches to raising boys and girls, their impact on emotional intelligence and career choice are highlighted. Results indicate that rigid gender roles can limit development. Recommendations for developing a culture of gender equality in the family while preserving national values are provided.
