Annotation: The very small number of sources that provide information about the social life of the Karakhanid period makes it difficult to create a complete picture of the social strata of the population during that dynasty. Nevertheless, Yusuf Khās Hājib’s “Kutadgu Bilig” allows us to imagine the social strata of the population of that time. This article provides information about the social strata of the Karakhanid period based on this work.
