Annotation: There is scattered information in various sources about the great thinker, encyclopedist, and famous statesman Yusuf Khos Khajib (1016-1070), who worked during the Karakhanid period, including the years of his birth and death. Due to the abundance of such information and the existence of contradictory information, most researchers put a question mark instead of the years of birth and death, or, in short, write that it happened in the 11th century. The information provided on the Ziyouz.uz website on 17.12.2017 states: “Yusuf Khos Khajib (real name Yusuf) (approx. 1020/21, Bolosagun— ?)—a Turkic poet, thinker, and statesman. The author of the epic poem “Kutadgu Bilig”. The only source that provides information about his life and activities is the book “Kutadgu Bilig.”
