Annotation: This article analyzes the formation of a culture of gender equality within Japan’s education system and its consolidation through institutional and pedagogical innovations. The study examines the issue of gender equality within historical-evolutionary, institutional, and cultural contexts, and, based on empirical evidence, reveals the effectiveness of contemporary approaches in education policy, curricula, and the academic environment. The article is developed on the basis of official documents, academic journal articles, and monographs, highlighting the theoretical and practical significance of Japan’s experience.
