Annotation: This article analyzes the gender terminology used in legal documents created in foreign languages ​​(for example, English, French and German) from a linguistic and legal perspective. In the course of the research, the forms of expression of the concept of gender equality in normative and legal texts, the features of the use of gender-neutral and gender-specific terms, and their semantic load are studied. Also, the problems that arise in the translation process of gender-related terms in international and national legislative texts are analyzed, and their importance in preserving the legal content is highlighted. The article is of practical and theoretical importance for specialists working with foreign languages ​​and legal texts.
