Annotation: China's "Global Governance Initiative" (全球文章讯记) was announced in 2025 and is seen as an initiative aimed at improving international cooperation and the global governance system. The initiative is similar to the UN's core principles of respect for sovereignty, international law, multilateralism and ensuring human well-being. At the same time, the initiative points out that some issues in the UN system are lacking in representation, reduced effectiveness and gaps in responding to new global challenges. Although the initiative is largely consistent with the UN's mandate, problems may arise in its implementation, financial and political mechanisms, and interaction with the UN. Although the Chinese initiative aims to support the central role of the UN, there is a risk of the emergence of new institutions and conflicts of interest in global governance. Overall, the Chinese initiative is seen as a strategic initiative aimed at renewing the global governance system and promoting fair and effective cooperation among the world's countries.
