Annotation: This article analyzes 歇后语 (xiehouyu) as a unique linguocultural phenomenon representing the linguistic expression of Chinese folk wisdom. Xiehouyu expressions embody the life experience, philosophy, and moral values accumulated by the Chinese people over centuries. The paper examines their semantic and structural features, their role in folklore, cultural meaning, and usage in modern Chinese society through illustrative examples. It also highlights how xiehouyu reflects national thinking, traditional values, and worldview within the language. The research results have significant theoretical and practical importance for the study of Chinese language, culture, and translation studies.
