Annotation: The article analyzes a unique socioeconomic paradox in Jordan, where high levels of female education (youth literacy at 99.41%, dominance in universities) coexist with extremely low female labor force participation (14.74% in 2022). It investigates the causes of this imbalance, identifying deeply entrenched patriarchal social norms—which outweigh formal legal guarantees—as the key barrier. The economic consequences are highlighted: GDP loss (about 1% annually), a gender pay gap (41%), occupational segregation, and the growth of informal employment. As a positive trend, the gradual inclusion of women in high-tech sectors ("green" energy, sustainable agriculture) is examined, illustrated by the cases of Basma Al-Shatti and Aida Salameh. The conclusion proposes a comprehensive strategy to transform the "education paradox" into a driver of economic growth, including educational reform, strengthened law enforcement, investment in care infrastructure, and the promotion of new role models.
