Annotation: This article is devoted to a comparative study of digital technologies as a means of preserving the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Japan. The article provides a comparative analysis of the approaches of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan to the use of digital technologies in the field of preserving cultural heritage. Methods of 3D scanning, creation of digital archives are considered as tools for protecting the monuments of the Silk Road. Particular attention is paid to joint grant projects and the implementation of augmented reality technologies in practice.
