Annotation: The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), launched by China in 2013, has boosted higher education internationalization in China and Uzbekistan. This paper explores how joint programs, language exchanges, and research partnerships shape their academic cooperation. It highlights China’s innovation leadership, Uzbekistan’s growing visibility, and the importance of policy coordination and digital transformation, calling for balanced partnerships and stronger intercultural understanding to enhance collaboration.
