Annotation: This article provides a scientific analysis of the theoretical and practical foundations of using information and communication technologies in the educational process, highlighting the digital transformation of the education system. The relevance of digital education is particularly associated with modernization processes taking place in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The implementation of electronic educational resources, distance learning, artificial intelligence and analytical systems significantly enhances the effectiveness of teaching and learning. Along with the advantages, the article examines challenges such as digital inequality, insufficient ICT competence among teachers, cybersecurity issues, and infrastructural limitations. Based on the conducted analysis, future prospects for the digitalization of education within the framework of the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy are revealed, and practical suggestions are presented to improve the use of innovative educational technologies.
