Annotation: This article examines the formation of a gender equality culture in the higher education system in close connection with foreign language teaching methodology. Based on the regulatory and policy documents aimed at developing higher education in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the study highlights the need to train competitive specialists who demonstrate social responsibility and commitment to gender equality principles. The article analyzes the didactic and methodological foundations for integrating gender equality ideas into the development of reading and writing competencies in foreign language education. In addition, practical recommendations are proposed for fostering students’ critical thinking, tolerance, and social awareness through innovative pedagogical approaches.
