Annotation: This article examines the concept of communicative competence in students from a socio-psychological perspective. Communicative competence is understood as an individual’s ability to engage effectively in communication within a social environment, demonstrate flexibility in group interactions, and successfully organize mutual interaction processes. The article highlights the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral components of communicative competence and substantiates its role in students’ social adaptation and the effectiveness of group activities. The results of the theoretical analysis indicate that developing communicative competence is an important socio-psychological task in higher education.
