Annotation: The article examines the development of Kazakh linguistics in China and the formation of oil and gas terminology within this context. It provides a comparative analysis of term creation and adoption processes in China and Kazakhstan from historical and linguistic perspectives. The structural and semantic features of Chinese–Kazakh oil terminology, as well as translation challenges, are discussed in detail. The study highlights the relevance of comparative research on word-formation systems in both languages and the importance of compiling bilingual specialized dictionaries.
