Annotation: The article comprehensively analyzes the socio-political and economic aspects of gender issues in the context of international sanctions using the example of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The role of sanctions in international relations, their impact on the structure of the state and society, and their asymmetric consequences for gender policy in the country are studied on the basis of theoretical and comparative analysis. In this context, the socio-economic position of Iranian women, their participation in the labor market, their status in the social protection system, and the adaptation mechanisms of state policy are assessed. The article attempts to reveal the gender dimension of sanctions within the framework of international relations theories and is based on the Iranian experience.
