Annotation: Against the background of the upgrading of China-Uzbekistan all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership, this study focuses on the regional economic cooperation between China’s Xinjiang and Uzbekistan under the Belt and Road Initiative. Based on the policy documents of both countries and the latest trade data, it adopts literature research, data analysis and case study methods to explore the synergy between national and local policies, the characteristics of industrial complementarity, and the practical challenges in cooperation. The results show that the policy docking between China’s "Belt and Road" Initiative, Xinjiang Free Trade Zone and Uzbekistan’s "New Uzbekistan" Strategy has laid a solid foundation for cooperation; the two sides have obvious complementarity in agriculture, energy and textile industries; and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway and cross-border logistics system are the key to breaking the bottleneck. This study puts forward targeted path suggestions, which provides a reference for deepening bilateral scientific research cooperation and exploring international project directions.
