Annotation: This study examines the green trade efficiency and potential between China and the five Central Asian countries from 2013 to 2022, using a stochastic frontier gravity model. Results indicate that economic scale and population promote green trade, while distance hinders it. Lower tariffs, trade agreements, and improved infrastructure significantly enhance efficiency. Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan show high efficiency, whereas Turkmenistan and Tajikistan possess substantial untapped potential. These findings offer insights for advancing sustainable trade and fostering a China–Central Asia shared future.
