Annotation: In Pakistan, the issue of gender has been inextricably linked to the country's political development, religious factors, and social structure. The period from 1977 to 2007 was characterized by the intensification of this issue and the simultaneous formation of civil institutions that protected women's rights. During this period, organizations such as the Women's Action Forum (WAF) and Shirkat Gah played a significant role in bringing the issue of gender equality to the public and political agenda.
