Annotation: This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the issues related to ensuring gender equality in the education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study examines the essence of the concept of gender equality, its significance in the educational process, as well as the state policy and the regulatory and legal framework implemented in this field. Along with the achievements in creating equal opportunities for girls and boys within the education system, existing challenges and their socio-pedagogical factors are identified. The article substantiates the importance of introducing a gender-sensitive pedagogical approach, enhancing teachers’ gender literacy, and supporting women in the fields of education and science. The findings of the study serve as an important basis for developing scientific and practical recommendations aimed at further advancing gender equality in the education system.
