Annotation: This article examines the social and psychological aspects of developing a culture of gender equality in Uzbekistan. The concept of gender, its historical evolution, and the individual psychological characteristics of men and women are analyzed. The study addresses gender stereotypes, family relations, violence, increasing divorce rates, and suicide as interconnected issues related to gender inequality. Based on statistical data, women’s representation in leadership positions within the education system is analyzed across regions. The article substantiates the importance of ethnopsychological factors, national values, and the role of educational institutions in promoting gender equality culture and offers practical recommendations.
