Annotation: This article comparatively analyzes the grammatical meanings expressed by the -gan affix in the Uzbek language — preservation of state, subjectivity, remote and recent past tense, and inferential meanings — in relation to the grammatical devices of the Chinese language. The research results highlight the distinctive features of the tense-aspect systems in both languages.
