Annotation: This article analyzes the characteristics of the transfer of cultural codes reflecting national values, traditions, and moral-ethical relations in Abdulla Qodiriy’s novel “O‘tkan kunlar” (“Bygone Days”) into Chinese. The study substantiates the theoretical foundations of the concept of cultural code, the content of axiological relations, and their manifestation in the process of translation. During the analysis, the axiological cultural code of respect is classified into three types, and the equivalence and cultural transfer aspects of translations from Uzbek into Chinese are examined. The research results demonstrate that a deep analysis of axiological cultural codes in translation is essential for the complete transmission of national values in intercultural communication.
