Annotation: This article provides a concise overview of the specific features of teaching oral Japanese, drawing on the educational practices of the Japanese Department at K.Karasaev Bishkek State University. The author describes the implementation of teaching methodologies developed by the Japan Foundation. Key instructional formats, such as interviews, public speaking and role-playing, are examined as essential tools for the effective mastery of oral Japanese communication. Furthermore, the article offers a brief characterization of textbooks and teaching materials recommended for international students. It is demonstrated that the systematic use of specialized exercises and tasks contributes to the development of a proper sense of rhythm and the refinement of Japanese pronunciation, pitch accent, and intonation.
